anti rust oil is a lubricant that acts as a barrier between the metal surface and entities like humidity, oxygen, moisture, dust and other natural factors. These specialized oils are able to create a protective layer on the metal surface that can prevent these entities from reaching the bare metal, thus protecting it and prolonging its lifespan.
This type of lubricant is used for metal surfaces before, during and after machining as well as for storing machines and other equipment temporarily. This brown oil can protect semi-finished and finished products until further processing and assembly, during transport or while stored inside or outside of buildings. It has a high dewatering capacity, which means it penetrates the surface and displaces water. This is a good solution for seasonally operated devices and machinery in construction, agriculture and forestry and municipal vehicles.
Axxanol A35CD-32 is a barium-free, mineral oil-based corrosion inhibitor spray that has been engineered to provide medium to long-term storage protection for highly finished steel and cast iron components. It has excellent water displacement properties and provides high levels of vapor phase corrosion inhibition. It is available in 5-gallon (19 liter) pails, 55-gallon (208 liter) metal drums and liquid totes.
Food grade penetrants are another form of anti rust oil that attacks the corroded area to free it up. They are also available in various sizes such as 5-gallon (19 liter) pails, 100-pound (45.4 kilograms) buckets and bulk. They are a great option for quickly releasing frozen nuts and bolts, fasteners, hinges and other hardware.
