graphite nanopowder is a versatile additive for polymeric materials to improve and change their properties. Its unique nanoscale size, shape and material composition provide it with a multifunctional character, which allows for its use in various applications including reinforcement, lubricity, conductivity, thermal management, etc.

Several studies have reported results on the performance of carbon nanofillers in PPS-based nanocomposites. The mechanical and tribological performance of the nanocomposites has been investigated. Superior tribological properties have been observed in nanocomposites filled with two-dimensional graphite and its lubricant character is also evident. In general, a close correlation between transfer film characteristics and tribological behavior has been found in the studies.

The tribological performance of the nanocomposites can be improved by enhancing the dispersibility of the graphite filler. This can be achieved by the use of different strategies including pre-mixing stages, wrapping in compatibilizers or polymer functionalization and covalent grafting. In addition, the effects of the nature, shape, concentration, and state of dispersion of the graphite filler on the composite performance have been discussed.

GS-TC307 nano-Graphite Powder is a highly refined graphite particle with a mean BET surface area of 350 m2/g and a particle size distribution between 0.20um and 20um. The granules have a high purity, good tribological properties and an easy flowability, making it a perfect choice for a wide range of applications. This includes engine oil additives to reduce friction and wear, carbon adsorbents for gas chromatography, conductive graphite based counter electrodes for dye sensitized solar cells and more.
